RULES AND REGULATIONS

1) Bow to the flags and the instructor when entering and leaving the school.

2) All Students will treat one another with upmost respect and courtesy.

3) Assume the position of attention while speaking to your instructor or any other

Black Belt holder. Also use words of consideration while speaking such as, Yes sir,

Yes ma’am, No sir, No ma’am, Excuse me sir, Excuse me ma’am, etc.

4) Ungentlemanly conduct such as use of profanity, obscene gestures or actions and

unnecessary roughness toward a fellow student in prohibited. Roughness during

sparring will result in match ending by instructor.

5) Students are expected to be courteous and understanding. They are also expected

to help fellow students whenever possible.

6) Loud conversation, laughing or giggling, and chewing gum have no place in

American Martial Arts training.

7) Personal hygiene is your responsibility (clean uniforms, trimmed nails, etc.).

8) Any substitute teacher shall be treated as you would your instructor.

9) Do not engage in any activity that might violate the code of American Martial Art

ethics, or degrade the reputation of American States Karate.

10) Belts are not to be worn outside of class or personal workouts. They must be treated

with respect and honor, folded and tied when not in use, never touching the ground.

11) All students will work within the school to keep a clean and safe environment,

cleaning windows, mirrors, bags, trophies, and vacuuming

12) All gear and equipment should be purchased from the school.

13) Instructor has the right to dismiss a student from class or school.

14) Notify instructor if you will not be in clas

DISCIPLINARY ACTION WILL BE TAKEN FOR VIOLATIONS OF THE ABOVE REGULATIONS. PENALTIES WILL VARY AT THE DISCRETION OF THE SCHOOL, SUCH AS; DEMOTION OF RANK, SUSPENSION OR EVEN TERMINATION OF TRAINING.
